Mark has been very instrumental in our recent IEEE Signal Processing Society Virtual Summer School. Not only has he helped us with forming a real-world hands-on case study, which was crucial for the training component of the school, he also went along and guided our participants in the breakout sessions. They just simply loved the way Mark handled the training sessions. Mark was very cooperative with both the organizing committee and the participants. Simply….. he is the best.
I would say Dr Mark is very helpful and patience during coaching. He is a highly professional trainer and knows what he is doing which for me, that is the most important aspect. He doesn’t have to be funny because data science is not a dry subject and Dr Mark engages well with participants.
I really like the idea of “micro-credentials”, breaking down the learning tasks to smaller ones. They become much easier to be completed, and this builds up a learner’s confidence. What amazes me with the hands-on session is that within the first 2 hours, I have learnt how to make my laptop camera capture & show only the blue mask that I wear but not anything else. An interesting example that is closely related to our real life during the pandemic.
Mark obviously has great experience and practical expertise in the field.
Patient and clear, he makes for a Great trainer I would recommend to any other person/organisation considering this course. Thanks again for pairing us up with a great guru.
I love the hands-on session by Dr Mark. His explanations are concise and his guidance are clear, step-by-step, so you will be able to follow even for a beginner. He also explained how the code worked, and you will get better idea how to move on to the next level.
I would recommend Dr Mark as trainer and a good teacher. He gives a good example and entertain questions from participants. He was patient towards all participants, including those who have little or no basic knowledge in programming.
I was under the guidance and tutelage of Mark for several months as part of a graduate program, and then later working together on a number of client engagements. Coming in from a non-IT background, Mark and his team ensured that I was well equipped with the fundamentals associated with analytics – from technical foundation to the subsequent application in industry.
Having attended many workshops, sessions and meetings with Mark, he always makes sure to bridge the gaps between theory and application, data science and business. With interest in data science growing faster than ever, the key to success (both as an individual or a business) is to be able to translate technical know-how into tangible business outcomes.
